“Say It Loud” Youth Justice Narrative Summit 10.24.24

During the month of October, staff at SJP participated in the "Say it Loud" convening to build positive narratives around youth justice, safety and freedom.  We worked in partnership with our coalition advocates in Thrive Under 25, Every Student Every Day, and the Youth Justice Project Coalitions.  Too often the narratives about our young people are harmful and do not include the voices of the young people themselves.  Our work at SJP is centered around our clients, all of whom are youth and emerging adults.  We left the gathering with new tools to reshape the narratives and to ensure we center the voices and experiences of our clients, in their own words.
