During this 50 minute virtual panel, learn about recent class action litigation filed on behalf of DC students with disabilities being denied their federally protected special education rights as they serve time in federal prisons. The litigation team discusses the history of the matter, why they filed the litigation, the current procedural posture and what they hope to achieve through this effort. The team from Nixon Peabody also shares why engaging in this pro bono work is so rewarding.
