School Justice Project (SJP) to Host Equal Justice Works Fellow, Katie Martinez! 05.10.23

School Justice Project (SJP) is proud to announce that we will be hosting an Equal Justice Works (EJW) fellow this fall to develop the first, long-term education legal desks in D.C.’s secure facilities. Katie’s project will establish a critical asset that has long been needed by students incarcerated in D.C.’s juvenile and adult facilities. The education help desks will serve young people with special education needs and provide the support that SJP attorneys currently provide to clients, but with a targeted, integrated approach to reaching incarcerated clients.

SJP is honored to be hosting another fellow and we are very excited to begin our work with Katie! For more information on Katie’s project, please see: www.equaljusticeworks.org/fellows/katie-martinez/.
